This interactive workshop aims at bringing together the whole Ecosystem of the Geopolymers for the Built Environment. RE: recover.technology

 

Objective:

  • Get to know the players along the value chain of the Geopolymers in the Built Environment
  • Co-design collaborative ways to reach a Circular Economy
  • Get new insights in Circular Economy approaches in other wasteful sectors as Textile

10:00 – 10:45 hrs. Inspiration. Cases of Geopolymers in Built Environment

  • Stairway to Sustainability, BE (KUL/ SREMat – SIM2.be) – Iron rich slag geopolymers
  • Extraordinary Leuven Cement, BE (KUL/SREMat) – Hybrid Iron rich slag/ 10-15% cement
  • Concrete Floors in Boekel, NL (Jansen B.V.) – Steel slags

10:45 – 11:00 hrs. Coffee Break

11:00 – 12:00 hrs. Part 1. Explore.

  • Introducing the workshop format, case of Circular Textiles
  • Reframing the problem for the Built Environment
  • Working in groups

12:00 – 13:00 hrs. Lunch Break

13:00 – 15:00 hrs. Part 2. Rapid Prototyping.

  • Prototype ideas for a Circular Geopolymers Ecosystem in the Built Environment

15:00 – 16:00 hrs. Present your results. Prototyped Circular Ecosystem presentation. Wrap up
