On March 13, 2017, the EU Horizon 2020 MCSA-ETN COSMIC kicked off in Novotel, Leuven. COSMIC is the European Training Network for Continuous Sonication and Microwave Reactors. The newly recruited Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) presented themselves along with their supervisors and the representatives of the partner organisations. An introduction to the science and technology content was presented as well as administrative guidelines on reporting and management.
On March 14, 2017, the ESRs followed a soft-skills training covering non-violent communication and trainings on literature search, Intellectual Property rights, continuous flow reactors and knowledge clips are planned for the rest of the week.
At the end of the week, the ESRs will return to their host locations and start their research, full of energy obtained in this inspiring recruitment event. In September all ESRS will attend the COSMIC Summer School in Leuven, which is also open to other PhD students, postdocs and interested industry representatives.
